Cookie policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
This page explains the cookies used on kernva.com and why.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. Some are essential for the site to work, others help us understand how it is used or support features like video embeds.
Cookies we use
- Admin session cookie. Keeps a signed-in administrator logged into the content management system at /admin. Not set for public visitors. Session only, cleared on logout. First party.
- YouTube and Spotify embed cookies. Only set if you click to play an embedded podcast episode. Nothing is set before you click. Duration varies by platform. Third party.
- Cal.com booking cookies. Set only if you use the booking widget to schedule a call. Duration varies. Third party.
- Cookie preference. Remembers whether you chose “Accept all” or “Essential only” so we do not ask again. Stored on your device until you change it. First party, essential.
- Anonymous visitor ID. A random identifier stored on your device that helps us count returning visits. Only set if you choose “Accept all”. It does not identify you personally. First party, analytics.
Our spam protection, Cloudflare Turnstile, does not set a tracking cookie. We set no advertising cookies.
Your choices
When you first visit, we ask whether to allow non-essential storage. Choosing “Essential only” is just as easy as accepting, and the site works fully either way. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Managing cookies
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies for the embedded video and booking features may mean those features do not work correctly, though the rest of the site will be unaffected.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
